Global warming is a threat..

The damaging effect of CO2 emissions from petrol engines has been well publicised. Global warming is already set to alter our planet's climate with potentially catastrophic consequences for future generations.

According to a recent PwC report, if countries sit back and adopt a "business as usual" approach, the result could be a more than doubling of global carbon emissions by 2050.

...it can be averted if everyone takes action now

The one strategy that can stabilise CO2 concentrations by 2050 at levels suggested by current scientific consensus requires all of the following to happen:

  • Emission reductions due to a greener fuel mix
  • Annual energy efficiency gains over and above the historic trend
  • Widespread use of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies

The world is waking up to the need to take action and in all countries, individuals and companies are switching to alternative greener fuels. In the process they are also benefiting from reduced energy costs and a cleaner image.

Increasingly consumers will select companies that take action to combat global warming.

Using an EVT scooter can make a significant impact

An EVT scooter scooter can reduce your greehouse gas output by several tonnes per year, depending on the distance normally travelled, even if you are using electricity from a fossil fuel power station.

Electric scooters use no fuel when stationary at traffic lights, they have no moving engine parts     that cause friction, and do not need additional energy to power fuel pumps, cooling systems and gear boxes.

All of this makes electric scooters highly energy efficient and low maintenance. Thanks to their intelligent digital controller, EVT scooters in particular have one of the highest 'distance to energy' ratios for any electric scooter on the market today.

The sealed lead acid batteries used by EVT scooters make use of the most cost effective technology available today and are up to 90% recyclable. And improvements in battery technology can be utilised without any significant changes to the scooter.

Small changes add up

Widespread adoption of EVT scooters will significantly reduce carbon emissions and noise pollution and could have a positive effect for road safety, since the EVT scooter speed is capped at the EU moped speed limit.
